PAX MUNDI

WORLD PEACE
The peace symbol is born from the nuclear disarmament movements of the 1950s. The anarcho-pacifist members were strongly influenced by the nonviolent methods of resistance (satyagraha) developed by Gandhi during the Indian freedom struggle, and they devised their actions in accordance with their understanding of his principles of truth and nonviolence.

The ‘disarmament symbol’ or the ‘CND symbol’ (after the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament) was designed for the British CND movement by textile designer Gerald Holtom. It combines the flag semaphore signs for the letters N(uclear) and D(isarmament), framed by a circle signifying the world.
This peace symbol was later adopted by wider disarmament and anti-war movements, crossing national and cultural boundaries.
PAX MUNDI LOTUS

WORLD PEACE
Rising fragrant and unsoiled out of muddy water, the lotus symbolizes peace and integrity.
We mint pax mundi LOTUS NFTs, as a universal symbol of world peace. We re-imagine the serene lotus flower filled in with a mosaic of raw, pixelated real-world flag colors and emblems and assign metadata to the pax mundi lotus- NFTs.
Lotuses teach us that even from the muck and the darkest circumstances, peace and light can emerge.
In the classical written and oral literature of diverse Asian cultures the lotus is present in figurative form signifying purity of heart and mind.

The lotus, also known as the “qinglian” 青莲 is phonetically resembling “integrity.” 清廉 Qīnglián, symbolizes clean and upright behavior, particularly in officialdom, – the people in organizations or governments who are in positions of authority,– this message is for you leaders of the world, that is why we wrote your names in the traits of the NFT’s.
The handmade pax mundi lotus carries good wishes and our call for pax mundi – world peace asking the world leaders:
“Please build networks of peace”.
PAX MUNDI PEACE DOVE

WORLD PEACE
The dove has symbolized peace since ancient times, revered as a sacred bird in civilizations from Egypt, Greece, Phoenicia, and Rome. Native American peoples, such as those of the Blackfoot tribe, associated the dove with protection and safe return from battle. Japanese culture linked the dove to the warrior deity Hachiman; a dove carrying a sword symbolized the end of war.

In the Old Testament, the dove represents renewed life, showing to Noah that it was safe to leave the Ark. Islamic tradition honors doves for their role in protecting the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) during the Hijra, and they are counted among the animals of heaven. Judaism and Christianity first understood the dove as a symbol of inner spiritual peace and renewal, later expanding its meaning to social and political peace – “peace unto the nations.”
Hinduism views the dove as a reflection of harmony and a welcoming, peaceful atmosphere. Chinese symbolism assigns this role to the quail (an chun 鹌鹑), whose name echoes the words for ‘peaceful existence and harmony 安存’.
The peace dove with or without an olive branch is an iconic symbol of peace and hope, something we need more than ever in a turbulent world. The handmade peace dove flies out to bring peace, compassion and kindness to all people of the world.

World community – build networks of peace – please.
We call governments, individuals, groups, and nations to connect, interact, and relate with each other for peace.
Peace is the joy between two people that do not know each other, made possible by the kindness between two people that know each other.

The greatest happiness in the world is peace.
Peace is interaction: Global peace is built in dialogue, shaped in trust and held together by collaboration. Each flag within the peace symbol represents a voice in the global call for world peace – peace is possible for all of us, building it piece by piece, pixel by pixel.
United in diversity: The global community is diverse and crosses borders, nationalities, faith and belief systems. Peace, exists through the reconciliation of differences. A network of peace emerges not from the absence of conflict, but from the active and courageous work of understanding and transformation. We are all responsible for shaping a world where peace is universal, where every person’s rights are upheld in an ethical principle based on respect of life and it’s integrity.
Each flag is unique, just as each nation’s history and culture. The peace symbol with national and international organizations flags shows that peace can exist within that diversity – it is about respecting and embracing it.
This peace symbols adorned with the national emblems stand as powerful reminders that we are all united in the need for a peaceful world.
One human family: We are all part of one human family – woven together by the unique threads of each country’s story, struggle, and spirit. The peace symbols have evolved into universal emblems of peace. They represent not just the absence of conflict, but the desire for kindness, and non-violence.
Our pax mundi – NFTs are a symbol of love and harmony – a reminder that the pursuit of peace is a shared human responsibility.
